"The J-Youth's Privilege" (J (ジェイ) ユースの特権 (とっけん) , TBA) is Chapter 23 of the Ao Ashi series, written and illustrated by Yūgo Kobayashi and based on a concept by Naohiko Ueno. This chapter was published in the 32^nd issue of Big Comic Spirits' 2015 series.

Summary

With Ashito's train ride ending, he makes his way to the Esperion clubhouse. At the field nearby he sees the First team practicing and is shocked by how many star players there are. He then runs into Ōtomo and Tachibana and they all are happy to find out they passed.

Synopsis

The chapter begins with with Ashito Aoi approaching his end of his train ride to Tokyo. As he munches on his snack, he reads his soccer magazine which he brought along with him. As he reads through it, he reads about a famous soccer player from Esperion FC, Haruhisa Kuribayashi.

Kuribayashi is only 16 years old and he is already called up to J-League first team for the opening match for Esperion. Ashito remarks that Kuribayashi is only 1 year older than himself and he is already incredible. He also says that he cannot wait to meet other people like Juribayashi in J-Youth. Inspired by Kuribayashi, Ashito grabs his new Soccer cleats and is itching to put them on and begin practicing right away. He also wonders if there are going to be any other members from the Tryouts who made it to Esperion especially hoping that Eisaku Ōtomo and Sōichirō Tachibana passed. As Ashito gets off the train, he then takes the bus that takes him straight to the Esperion clubhouse.

Ashito arrives at the clubhouse with about 2 hours to spare before the meeting he has to attend to so he wonders how to kill time. As he notices on a signboard nearby, the first team practice is about to start. He notices Emi Kasahara and Midori Haruta running nearby excitedly to the practice where the first team is practicing. As Ashito follows them he sees legendary soccer players right in front of him such as Tamotsu Deguchi, Matsuaki Nanba and Goran Danvić. He is taken aback by the players as they are all superstars in their own right. Emi and Midori notice Ashito staring wide-eyed at the field and recognizes Ashito from the Tryouts. They congratulate him for passing the exam as they notice his suitcases.

They comment on how they knew Ashito should have passed due to the incredible work-ethic Ashito showed on the field. As Ashito stares back at the field, they question if this is the first time he has seen the first team training. They say that Ashito should get used to seeing them since the Youth and First teams often practice next to each other and the Youth team may even get advice from the First team. As he continues to watch on, he hears a boy next to him comment on how he will be able to train whatever he wants, whenever he wants on the field. Ashito looks over at the boy and realizes that its none other than Ōtomo, before they can get over the shock of seeing each other, Tachibana also appears and calls ou to them both. They have a group hug very reminiscent of their last hug during the Tryout match.
