Summary[]

As Ashito manages to stand up and waves off the doctor as he wants to keep playing, Fukuda decides to make an announcement. The Youth team has been playing with the disadvatdge of each player playing in a completely new positon. The Tryout team is in shock and lets the Youth team completely run them over and letting them score 2 more goals making the score (4-0). However, it seems as though Fukuda has a reason for making the announcement now.

Synopsis[]

The Chapter starts with Nagisa Akutsu helping Ashito Aoi back on his feet. As the crowd looks on, they see the amount of spirit in Ashito. As the Tryout team, the field doctor and Hana Ichijō huddle around Ashito to make sure he is okay. Even hunched over in pain, Ashito waves off the doctor and demands that he wants to score a goal since he hasn't done a single thing to appeal to the coaches and he doesn't want to return to his hometown empty-handed.

Sōichirō Tachibana, Junnosuke Nakano, and Eisaku Ōtomo are all motivated by this. Ōtomo says that he doesn't want to be shown up by some country bumpkin and Nakano thinks that he has to learn from Ashito since he was able to give it his all and never lose hope. As the doctor clears Ashito to go on, Coach Fukuda stands up with his megaphone. Coach Nozomi then asks Fukuda if he is going to make his announcement to which he replies that this is the perfect time to make his statement.

As the crowd looks on in wonder Fukuda makes his announcement. He says that before the match started. the Youth team is playing with a handicap. They have been playing in a reverse system. He the goes onto explain that this means that the Forwards are playing as Defense and the Defense will be playing as the Forwards. The same goes for the Offensive Midfielders and Defensive Midfielders. The only player in their normal position is the Goalkeeper. Each of these players are in a brand new position that they have never played in before.

This shocks the Tryout team members to their very core as they all show varying degrees of awe and despair. Nakano is shocked that the Youth team members are so good in brand new positions despite them only being 1 year older than the Tryout team. He claims that it is impossible for them to become as good as the Youth team in just a year. The Tryout team is shaken to their very core and as such they are making many mistakes. Akutsu passes it to Matsunaga who rifles a shot into the bottom left corner and just a few minutes later, Taira passes to Nagano who scores as well. The score is now (4-0).

The crowd is in shock at the skill level of the Youth team even though they are playing in new positions and trying to figure out what were Coach Fukuda's intentions with that announcement. As Ashito is kneeling on the ground again in pain, he flashbacks to the time when his Mom(Noriko Aoi) bought Ashito his first pair of soccer cleats and his declaration that he'll make the cleats worth tenfold when he turns into a pro.
