Keiji Togashi ( () (がし) (けい) () ; Togashi Keiji) is a supporting character in the Ao Ashi series. Togashi is in the same grade as Ashito Aoi and plays as a center-back (occasionally as a full-back, midfielder, or forward) for Tokyo City Esperion FC's Youth team. At age 12, he was scouted by Tatsuya Fukuda for Tokyo City Esperion FC's Junior team and trained with them for a week, but the opportunity ultimately didn’t work out.

Appearance & Personality[]

Togashi is a tall, lean but fit teenage boy with dark black hair regularly styled in a classic biker-yankee pompadour. He is physically strong, explosive, and with a remarkable jumping power.

He is a hot-headed and passionate boy. At the beginning, he often engages into conflict with his teammates, specially with Kanpei Kuroda and Ryūichi Takeshima, due to their differences. However, as the story goes on, he learns to accept these differences and his relationship with his teammates improve. Togashi can also be too self-confident at times, which affects his teamwork. He can tend to lose sight of his surroundings and be oblivious of his true feelings, as seen with how he looked down on Ashito unconsciously. However, he accepts his mistakes and does whatever he can to improve as a player. He is also a friend with a good heart, always willing to help.

Skills & Abilities[]

Togashi is physically strong, able to resist powerful opponents like Akutsu. Standing at 187 cm, his height, combined with an exceptional vertical leap, makes him a dominant presence in the air, where he is capable of scoring headers. He also has strong and accurate kicks, being able to to strike from outside the box and even send the ball flying to impressive distances. Additionally, after learning from Ashito after his match against Kashiwa, Togashi significantly improved his vision.
