Summary[]
Ashito holds onto the ball while being surrounded by two red players. However, we see that Ashito has a plan. With an insane dribble to his OWN goal, Ōtomo realizes that Ashito is aiming for something specific. Ashito and Ōtomo make eye contact and Ōtomo realizes that Ashito is aiming for a long ball down the field.
Synopsis[]
Eisaku Ōtomo shouts at Ashito Aoi to pass the ball as he is right in front of his net. Hana starts questioning Fukuda why he brought Ashito from Ehime to the tryouts, as he appears to have returned to his defensive zone. Daigo Benzen announces that five minutes remain and encourages everyone to give their best. While Ashito is trying to avoid the opponents, the coaches on the sideline start to discuss their performance. They note that Ashito appears to have underperformed and crossed his name out on a list. They also note that Sōichirō Tachibana is the key player of the red team, while Akinori Kaneda is the key player for the white team; however, he appears to lack a good relationship with his teammates and is extremely impatient. Hana then notices that Fukuda seems to have gotten more excited.
Back on the field, Ashito seems frustrated, while Ōtomo seems confused about what he's doing. Ōtomo then wonders if Ashito is trying to aim for something. With two red plays pressuring Ashito currently, a third decides to press Ashito as well to force him to lose the ball. However this gives Ashito the perfect opportunity. He runs towards his own goal, which takes Hana by surprise. Ōtomo makes eye contact with Ashito and fully realises what Ashito is trying to do and orders Kaneda to run. Kaneda does so, and Ashito sends a long ball up the field. Kaneda notices the ball and manages to head it into the goal. Many coaches and spectators appear surprised, with Fukuda being the only one who seems delighted. While the spectators go wild, Ashito celebrates with his teammates, and Kaneda gives him a thumbs up. Aki Tsukishima is amazed as he mentions that the last play gave him an aerial sense of vision. Ashito encourages his team to score another goal, but before they can start playing, Fukuda ends the game and prepares to announce the 11 players playing in the second final match.
