Ao Ashi (Anime)

Ao Ashi (アオアシ) is a TV anime series based on Ao Ashi, a Japanese seinen sports manga series written and illustrated by Yūgo Kobayashi and based on a concept by Naohiko Ueno. The first season was animated by Production I.G and aired in Spring 2022. The first promotional video and animation studio information were first released on October 29, 2021. On April 30, 2025, it was announced that a season 2 produced by TMS Entertainment is scheduled to broadcast in 2026.

Synopsis[]

Ashito Aoi is a young, aspiring football player from a backwater town in Japan. His hopes of getting into a high school with a good football club are dashed when causes an incident during a critical match for his team, which results in their loss and elimination from the tournament. Nevertheless, he catches the eye of someone important who happens to be visiting from Tokyo. How will things turn out for Ashito? - (Source: Shogakukan Asia).
